SeniorLiving.wiki relies on primary sources: federal and California agencies, state statutes, and established national surveys. Each page cites sources inline with numbered notes, lists them at the end with the data year or access date, and shows a last-reviewed date.

How figures are reported

How community facts are verified

A community is described only with facts found on its official website and in its public license record. For California residential care facilities, the record is the CDSS Care Facility Search entry, which shows license number, status, capacity, visit dates and reports. The retrieval date is recorded in the citation.

What is excluded

SeniorLiving.wiki does not use lead-generation directories, reviews or unattributed statistics as sources for figures, and does not estimate costs that published surveys do not report (for example, memory care or CCRC fees).
